CHEDRAUI MÉRIDA AMÉRICAS

I really like shopping here, somewhat cheaper than Walmart and Soriana. I shop here every week for the ingredients for my weekly meals.

They have a good selection of groceries, wine and housewares at reasonable prices. A great alternative to Walmart.

I was there for 10 minutes and I saw how they denied the entrance to a foreigner, it was a single dad with a baby, he was treated very poorly and told that he should leave his baby outside (the baby was three months old). They did the same to a couple with a child and to a pregnant woman telling her that she couldn't step a foot there while being pregnant, needles is to say that after watching all of that I left without buying a single thing. This place shouldn't be called Chedraui, it is an insult to the name, I have never seen such a thing in my life, let alone during a pandemic, people shouldn't be treated the way they were. Where I come from that is called DISCRIMINATION.

The store has improved it import section. Plus all the fresh meat, sea food, and vegetable section are all clean and well presented.

This is one of the better Chedraui stores in Merida. Excellent selection including a decent amount of imported foods.
